Music Notation and Choir Hub

Start with MIDI, MusicXML, or ABC notation and choose the output you need: an editable score, a printable preview, MIDI playback, or practice audio. Choir directors can also compare vocal ranges and transpositions before rehearsal.

Keep your score conversion and rehearsal tools together. Review converted notation in a score editor before printing or sharing it.

Workflow Path

Follow this sequence to complete your workflow from start to finish.

  1. 1

    Convert ABC to MIDI (Optional)

If your source is ABC notation, create MIDI first. Start at the next step if you already have a MIDI file.

  2. 2

    Create an Editable MusicXML Score

Convert MIDI note data to MusicXML, then review timing, voices, and notation in your score editor. Skip this if you already have MusicXML.

  3. 3

    Check Choir Ranges (Optional)

For choir arrangements, map vocal parts and compare ranges and transpositions. Instrumental scores can continue directly to export.

  4. 4

    Create a Printable Score Preview

Export a PDF preview from MusicXML. Check the rendered notation and use a score editor when you need publication-ready layout.

  5. 5

    Export MIDI for Playback

Use your MusicXML score to create MIDI for a DAW, playback app, or the audio conversion step.

  6. 6

    Create Practice Audio

Render MIDI note events to WAV or MP3 for listening and rehearsal. The synthesized audio does not recreate an original recording.

MIDI and MusicXML Conversion

Move between score notation, playback files, printable previews, and synthesized audio.

ABC Notation Alternatives

Start from ABC text to create MIDI playback or a printable notation preview.

Choir Rehearsal Planning

Compare vocal parts with singer ranges and find a suitable key for your choir.
