Enter your costs to calculate client pricing.
Pricing AI agent services requires understanding both your costs and the value delivered. The biggest mistake is pricing based only on costs (cost-plus pricing). Value-based pricing, where you price based on the value the agent creates for the client, typically yields 2-5x higher margins. Use your cost calculation as the floor and client value as the ceiling.
Beyond API costs, account for: prompt development and testing time, monitoring and debugging, model updates that break existing prompts, client communication and reporting, and scope creep when clients want "one more feature." Budget at least 20% above your calculated costs as a buffer.
